What if there was a progressive third party that slowly built lasting momentum and power at the state and local levels before attacking the national scene? The Green Party's scattered 2000 presidential effort was clearly not the answer to this question.*

It looks like a good idea. Build yourself up, get some actual experience in the political arena before trying to take ove the country. Someone should tip off Ross Perot about these folk...
The Working Families Party story in the Prospect is really inspiring.
Check out this effort that would enable a WFP-style party to fight for economic justice and invigorate a slow-moving Democratic Party in Massachusetts:
